Our starting point
Europe has remarkable industrial companies, researchers, skilled workers and technological capabilities. But it also faces intense global competition, investment challenges and dependencies in strategically important supply chains.
RISE — Rebuild Industry. Save Europe. — exists to pay attention to both sides of that story: Europe's achievements and the challenges that deserve closer scrutiny.
Build. Protect. Compete.
Build means valuing the ability to develop and manufacture important technologies. Protect means taking strategic resilience, know-how and fair competition seriously. Compete means supporting the conditions in which European firms can innovate, invest and succeed.
What RISE is — and isn't
RISE is an independent public-awareness project, not a political party, official EU body, research institute or industrial-policy authority. We share news, explainers and perspectives; we do not claim to have all the answers.
Our aim is to distinguish verifiable facts from commentary, link to original sources where practical, recognise uncertainty and highlight credible ideas from experts and industry.
Europe should be open — and capable
Industrial strength is not the same as isolation. International trade, cooperation and competition can create enormous value. Resilience means understanding where dependencies matter, building options and preserving the ability to act.
